Upon admission to the defendant’s facility, the staff failed to properly assess and manage the plaintiff’s fall risk and put in place the appropriate interventions. As a result, the 84-year-old female plaintiff fell twice. The second fall resulted in a hip fracture that required surgical repair. In addition, the nursing home failed to adequately supervise staff and provide the plaintiff with proper nutrition.
