Biography
Marisa Schostok is a trial lawyer and partner at Dudley & Lake, LLC. Ms. Schostok concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury, trucking accidents, wrongful death and medical malpractice.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Schostok spent several years at the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted criminal matters. She has tried numerous cases to verdict and has argued matters before the Illinois Appellate Court. Ms. Schostok is a tenacious advocate for her clients and works tirelessly to ensure those injured by negligence receive the justice they deserve.
Since joining Dudley and Lake in 2016, Ms. Schostok has received verdicts and settlements totaling over $100 million for her clients. Most recently, Marisa obtained a $25 million verdict in a 14-day trial in Cook County Circuit Court on behalf of the family of a 55-year-old man who died as a result of an undiagnosed and untreated anastomotic leak following hernia surgery at a local hospital.
In addition to her dedication to justice for her clients, Ms. Schostok also devotes her time to the community through her participation in education and local charities. Ms. Schostok is a guest lecturer on the topic of Negligence at Northwestern University’s, Kellogg Graduate School of Management and serves on the board of the non-profit charity, The Michael Matters Foundation, which provides financial assistance to brain cancer patients.
