Thomas Lake and Jacquelyn Melius settled a personal injury suit for $4,750,000 on behalf of a North Chicago man who suffered a spinal cord injury as a result of a heavy shelving unit falling off a Salvation Army truck and landing on his head. The plaintiff was a non-employee (a participant in their rehabilitation program) of the Salvation Army assigned to assist the driver, an employee of the Salvation Army. The injury left the man’s left leg completely paralyzed.
