$1 Million Settlement For Nursing Home Fall

Jesse Placher recovered a total of $1 million from a downstate nursing home and a downstate health care provider for the death of a 78-year-old man after a fall. The man fell from his bed while a resident at the nursing home shortly after being seen by an agent of the co-defendant’s health care provider. The man’s bed was supposed to be in a low position at all times. At the time of his fall, it was not in a low position. He suffered a head injury as a result of the fall and died less than a week later as a result of his head injury.
