Attorney Alex Campos is a trial lawyer and a partner at Dudley and Lake, where his primary area of practice is representing victims and their families in medical negligence and other personal injury matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Campos spent several years at a prestigious Chicago defense firm representing medical providers and hospitals. Mr. Campos learned firsthand how hospitals and insurance companies defend cases of negligence. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and handled matters before the Illinois Appellate Court. Mr. Campos brings this inside experience to the firm to help people get justice.

Since 2016, Mr. Campos has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the area of personal injury, medical malpractice – a distinction limited to only the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40 in the State of Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois. In 2023, he was elected to become a member of The Society of Trial Lawyers, an invitation only group comprising many of Illinois’ top trial lawyers.

Mr. Campos hails from the suburbs of Chicago. He obtained his college degree from Boston College. He returned to Chicago for law school, graduating from The University of Illinois Chicago (formerly known as the John Marshall Law School). As a law student, he served as editor-in-chief of one of the school’s law journals and was a member of the Dean’s List.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Campos serves as an adjunct professor of law at The University of Illinois Chicago and as a court appointed guardian ad litem with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
