Family Sues Hospital For Negligence in Logan Dunne’s Death
Dudley & Lake partner, Jesse Placher, was interviewed by WMBD-TV regarding a lawsuit the firm filed against Carle Health Methodist Hospital on behalf of the family of Logan Dunne. The complaint alleges Carle Health was negligent in their failure to supervise Dunne, allowing him to leave a secured psychiatric floor and walk out of the hospital without proper discharge protocol. Dunne was reported missing and was never seen by his family again. His remains were found five months later approximately 5 miles from the facility in a wooded area in November of 2023.
The Dunne family placed their trust in Carle Health Methodist Hospital, which was shattered by their failure to keep their son, Logan, safe. The Dunne family hopes this case will result in the health provider being held accountable for their negligence and prevent other families from enduring similar heartbreak.
